Cologne in Pictures

I visited Cologne for the first time this year on Good Friday, after having heard about it since years! It was a lovely sunny day, the warmest Easter time I have seen in Germany in the few years I’ve been here. Here are a few pictures of the wonderful city to give you a glimpse of my short trip.

The Magnificent Cologne Cathedral – Germany’s most visited landmark
The “Cutter” belonging to the ship named ” Cöln” recovered after a battle that destroyed the ship within the first few days of the start of WWI
The Hohenzollern Bridge on the Rhine – the most heavily used rail bridge in Germany, with 1200 trains crossing it every day!
The Slimmest House in Cologne – only 2.56 meters wide!
Colorful Houses in Fishmarket
Schmitzsäule – The Monument to the landing on Moon – 389994 km and 100m away from where Neil Armstrong first set foot on the Moon!
Osterman Brunnen – Willi Ostermann was a famous Carnival lyricist, composer and singer in the 19th century and you know how important Carnival is in Cologne
